Forty-two members and guests of the Club journeyed by bus to the Princeton-Dartmouth basketball game on January 18 and enjoyed every second of the overtime thriller except the last, when Art Klein of Princeton hooked in a desperate clincher from way out to win 61-59 over the Big Green.

Among the guests was Princetonian Theodore Parsons, recently attorney-general of New Jersey, and Frank Pingatore, former coach of Gene Booth '57, of Red Bank, who played an outstanding game at guard for Dartmouth. Former Green basketeers included Bill Abernethy, varsity star in 1950, and Joe Millar, captain in 1923- We missed Jim Coleman, captain in 1947 and 1948, who had succumbed to la grippe and could not attend.

On January 19 Club President Ollie Conover '53 and Skip Gale '54 took the Asbury Park YMCA swimming team to New York to attend the Columbia-Dartmouth swimming meet.

Jim Parkes '20 is receiving congratulations because son Jim '57 has been awarded his D for service with the football team last fall.

Plans are now under way for a spring gathering of Dartmouth men in Monmouth County to which golfers may even be encouraged to bring their weapons.
