Our classmate — I. J. Cox - gave the College an insurance policy that he took out in 1894 to assure repayment of a loan to enable him to finance his last two years in College. The policy was for $1008.87.

The Guy C. Richards bequest is now carried on the books at $198,048. The income from this bequest, some $10,000 a year, is to be paid out each year for student aid. This will help many students over the long future.

Richard S. Cox, grandson of the late IsaacJ. Cox, is a senior. Student Aid from the Richards Fund has made Dartmouth possible for him. He is a fine chap.

Descendants of '96 men are given preference. All of these descendants should establish genealogical records to prove their descent from a Dartmouth '96 ancestor a hundred, yes a thousand and more years hence. Information about this preferment should be passed down the generations. This is important and may be of great value to unborn descendants of '96 men.

It is not too wild a guess that when the final Amen is said, our Class will have given a total of over $280,000 to Dartmouth.
