THE election of six new members of the Dartmouth Alumni Council and the reelection of five present members were announced last month by Sidney C. Hayward '26, secretary of the Council. All these men were nominated by alumni clubs in their respective regions and were declared elected to two-year terms without contest following the closing of nominations on March 10.
Election results in the seven Alumni Council regions were as follows:
District I, New England States - Philip D. Mclnnis '36 of Concord, N. H., elected for a first term, succeeding Douglas N. Everett '26 of Concord. Forrest C. Billings '28 of Hartford, Conn., elected for a first term, succeeding William A. Lieson '32 of Springfield, Mass.
District II, Middle Atlantic States - Nelson M. Graves Jr. '50 of Buffalo reelected for a second term.
District 111, Central States - Robert E. Sweeney Jr. '34 of Indianapolis, elected for a first term, succeeding George R. Lyon '25 of Chicago.
District IV, Middlewestern States - DeWalt H. Ankeny '21 of Minneapolis, reelected for a second term. John R. Willetts '40 of Milwaukee, reelected for a second term.
District V, Southern States — Willis Fitch '17 of Washington, elected for a first term, succeeding Clarence V. Opper '18 of Washington. W. Wallace Mountcastle '22 of Miami elected for a first term, succeeding Charles T. Garnsey '20 of Miami.
District VI, Southwestern States - William B. Heroy Jr. '37 of Dallas, elected for a first term, succeeding William B. Head '27 of Houston. Ralph L. Rickenbaugh '28 of Denver, reelected for a second term.
District VII, Western States - Kenneth Lieber '36 of Los Angeles, reelected for a second term.
