Bob Burroughs T'22 has been appointed to the Board of Overseers. Bob is general agent for New Hampshire for National Life of Vermont; president of R. P. Burroughs, Inc., a pension planning and servicing organization, and a leader in civic and state affairs.

Lane Dwinell T'29 has accepted the invitation to speak at Tuck commencement. Dick Menin T'50, of Richard B. Menin & Associates, New York, has been certified as a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table of the National Association of Life Underwriters.

Earl Daum T'25 is leaving the managing directorship of General Motors-Holden's Limited in Melbourne, Australia, to become GM regional group executive responsible for Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and France, plus GM Limited, London. Earl has filled GM posts in Cuba, Egypt, South Africa, India and Sweden as well as in the U. S. and Australia.

Mike Frothingham '43 has been elected secretary and a vice-president of Ted Bates & Company.

Back on campus for one reason or another recently have been Bob Malm T'54, Bob Simpson T'54, Dave Metz '54, John Edison T'57 (with Penny), Stan and Stu Klapper T'57, George Yeager T'57, C;us Allen T'58, Adam Block T'58, Dave Donahue T'58 and George Maclver T'58. Nice to see 'em.

Mr. Lent recently (1) testified before the House Ways and Means Committee on an amendment to the Internal Revenue Code to restrict trafficking in loss corporations and corporate mergers; (2) advised certain members of the Senate Finance Committee on abill regarding taxation of life-insurancecompanies; (3) spoke on the economic aspects of tax-loss carry-overs at a seminarconducted by Harvard Law School at Harvard's Littauer School.

Mr. Broehl's "The Board of Directors inthe Smaller Corporation" appeared in a recent issue of Commercial and FinancialChronical. Mr. Piatt's "Economic Indicators,"Tuck Bulletin 21, is shortly to be reprintedin Management Review and to be excerptedin Directors Digest.
