Since the last issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland has held another successful picnic at Jim Rutherford's ('24) Gladford Glen. The day was a beautiful June 25, and 95 members of the club were on hand for great quantities of beer, baseball and hamburgers. Ted Bamberger '50 was responsible for the tremendous success of this year's picnic.

Our future plans include the Dartmouth Tea Dance which will be held Saturday, October 1, at the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club in Gates Mills. This 8th annual tea dance kicks off the fall social functions in Cleveland. Facilities at the picturesque Hunt Club will again include dancing outside and other innovations to add to the pleasure of the occasion. Andy Carstensen '45 is chairman of this years' dance committee. All profits from the dance will again go to our local Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Wally Meckes '42 has taken over the duties of regional chairman for the enrollment program. This region consists of greater Cleveland, Toledo, Youngstown, Akron, and Painesville. Marty King '38 is the area chairman for Greater Cleveland. The success of this program depends largely upon obtaining the names of outstanding prospects for Dartmouth. The regional chairman is particularly interested in obtaining information about more prospects from outside the Greater Cleveland area, as well as finding more alumni workers who will aid this program by contacting the high schools in this region. Wally will be glad to hear from any alumni who know of good prospects, or are willing to work with the high schools. Please contact him at 1730 Train Ave., Cleveland is, Ohio.

Further in the future, the big event will be the Dartmouth Regional Conference of the Alumni Council, which will be held in Cleveland on January 26, 27, 28, 1961. Overall Chairman for this function is Ellwood Fisher '21. Chairman for the groups participating will be Warren Crumbine '37. Assisting these two will be an Executive Committee which has been meeting since August 1, consisting o£: Lee Chilcote '30, Charlie French '24, Sandy Mills '38, and Bud Barker '52. This conference will include the entire Alumni Council, as well as representatives from Dartmouth clubs around the country.

Paul Revere O'Connell '27 (r), retiring president of the Dartmouth Club of Worcester, congratulates Robert P. Hallock '38, newlyelected president. Prof. John B. Stearns '16(c) spoke at the club's annual meeting.
