Queen of Dartmouth's 50th Winter Carnival was Miss Suzanne Horney of Atherton, Calif., a freshman at Stanford, whose escort was Barclay Corbus '61.

Dave Camerer '37, who wrote the script for the CBS-TV telecast of the Dartmouth Winter Carnival, shown in Hanover with John Rand '38 (left), director of the DOC, and Judson Bailey, executive head of sports for CBS-TV, whose son John is a freshman.

CBS-TV video tape recording units were everywhere during the Carnival weekend, preparing the hour-and-a-half show seen throughout the nation on Sunday, February 7.

"Swiss Heir," a nattily attired St. Bernard dog with red blinking eyes, won first prize for Theta Delta Chi in the statue contest.

Eisenhower, Macmillan, DeGaulle and Khrushchev at the summit was a well-executed entry by Sigma Phi Epsilon.

A Swiss chalet and Alps were the backdrop for Outdoor Evening performers.

Second prize in the fraternity division of the competition went to Gamma Delta Chi for its musical Swiss chalet set in the Alps.

Judged the best snow statue among the dormitory entries was "Swisspirits" by Woodward.
