WE thought the duckboards would be down by now and that we could begin this month by mentioning those plopping, splashing har- bingers of spring. Like the skiing enthusiasts, who have had a pretty good season, Buildings and Grounds seems reluctant to let go of winter; or they may simply be trying to promote their own program of independence in leaping. Most likely, with so many plant changes in progress and more to come (see below), B & G has plenty on its mind; but small as the duckboards are, there are those who love them for what they portend.
