Received a card from "Wattie" showing him playing Santa Claus at the Christmas party for the children of the faculty at St. Paul's college and saying he had just signed up for another year. He and Julius Arthur Brown must hold all records for activity in their profession.

Congratulations to Arthur Ruggles for the honors conferred on him during the Christmas season and at the time of his 79th birthday in January. A life-long friend gave five thousand dollars to the Rhode Island Dartmouth Alumni Association to be added to the Arthur H. Ruggles Scholarship Fund at Dartmouth. The Rhode Island Foundation gave to the R.I. Boy Scouts Golden Jubilee Fund five thousand dollars to carry Arthur's name in one of their summer camp building projects.

Before you read this the Irvins will be back in Evanston. We have had an unusual winter for Florida. A few weeks of wonderful weather on arrival followed by cold and rain but no zero temperatures, snow, ice and sleet, for which we are grateful.
