We are always fascinated by these foreign addresses and try hard to keep them faithfully reported in the chance that some of these lads many miles from home would like a bit of mail. So now we give you a new address for Gordon McCoun, c/o Panagra, Cali, Colombia, S.A. As we recall, he was last reported residing in Santiago with his bride. .... While we're on the subject of "fly-boys" in foreign ports, Willie Webster dropped into New York last week, stayed around long enough to pick up his family and his household goods, and then departed for his new home in Lima, Peru And have you been wondering about old Bill Bachman? They will live in Newburyport, Mass., where we understand Dune has provided a house "reconstructed" with his own little hands Bert MacMannis and Sally Blake said the "I do's" at the same church in Scarsdale as Farr-Lester, on Oct. 3. When last seen they were scurrying off to Nova Scotia and Canada before hitting Hanover for the Brown game, and then home On the "to be" side of the ledger, Jim Anderson and Lydia A. Writer of the Month: There appears to be no one who can turn up such a long and newsy letter as old Rodg Harrison. We are indebted once again to Rodg for a swell round-up of '39 news, which follows directly:
"Bill Green and his charming wife Joan dropped in not long ago. Bill is going to take his New Hampshire bar exams this fall. He says he is now in a 'transient state,' but intends to settle down with a law firm in Concord, N. H., after his exams are in the past. He and Joan have one boy, who apparently inherited all his Pop's oratorical talents. That is,— so I gathered by several modest inferences on the part of Bill and Joan.
Bill says he recently saw Stan Brown, now with McLane Davis, and Carlton (partners-in-law) in Manchester. Greenie also bumped into Pepper Gray, now a U.S. Immigration Officer way up on the Canadian border at some point of entry. Both Stan and Pep were seen at a recent alumni dinner in Manchester.
Heard from here and there: Bob Gibson out of the Navy after four years, is a partner in the Toro Manufacturing Corp., Minneapolis, and has two children. He, Dave Lilly, and Whit Miller are partners in the firm, holding controlling interest. BobFletcher, with one boy to his credit after three and a half years in the Air Corps, is now with Fletcher Brothers Distributing Co., (Oil) in Los Angeles. He saw Magee (Walt) last winter, who just turned in wings and maple leaves (gold) after five years in the Air Corps. Walt indicated that he will settle out west in either Arizona or the Coast.
Bob Cushman, Polly, and three-and-a-half-year old daughter are presently in Syracuse, N. Y. Bob is an abrasive engineer for the Norton Co., of Worcester, Mass., after five years with Gulf Oil in Boston. He took more courses at Worcester Tech on engineering and is now a full-fledged engineer.
Jim Parks was four years in the Navy, is now married, and a superintendent of Stations and Traffic for the Saudi-Arabian Airlines, Arabia. Here's a chance for stamp collectors,—just drop Jim a line. The Arabian Airline is a TWA management contract and Jim is on loan to the Saudi government from TWA. 'Future destination? Mohammed only knows. The nearest I've been to Mecca is 25 miles out. Wonder if I'll ever make the grade?'
Bud Foster is now a food salesman for J. H. Norton Co., after five years in the Navy, working out of Auburndale, Mass."
Clearing House: By now you have received your copy of the Annual Report which the incumbent officers intend to maintain throughout their span of office, and hope that it will continue after the next elections.
One of these days now, you will be receiving a notice of class dues sent out by Treasurer George Hanna. Your support will be very much appreciated by George who has undertaken this job of treasurer under trying conditions to say the least. George is. at present plugging away at Boston University Law School, and it doesn't take much imagination to figure how busy that can keep a guy.
