Martin L. Budd '60 of Brooklyn, N. Y., has been awarded a Marshall Scholarship for two years of graduate study at Oxford University, beginning next fall. He will study jurisprudence at Worcester College as one of 24 American students named to participate in the program established by the British Government in 1953 in appreciation of the postwar Marshall Plan. Award winners receive their passage to and from England, tuition fees, a living allowance of about $1500 a year, and a stipend for books and travel. The grants are greatly sought by American students and are a high honor.

Budd is majoring in international relations and is currently a Senior Fellow. He also won a Class of 1926 Fellowship for study with the International Cooperation Administration in Washington this past summer and fall. He is a member of the Dartmouth Forensic Union and of the varsity cross-country team.
