On July 12, the Club celebrated its first fall meeting of the year, a luncheon honoring the new U.S. Ambassador to Peru, James M. Loeb '29. The "table was set" in the nautical background of the Captain's Cabin Room of the Bankers' Club in downtown Lima. Attending were Gordon McCoun '39; Harold Pierce '28; Hans Paschen '28T; Bob Neuburg '46; Fred Ashworth '42; EdParsons '53; and Pablo Lozano '59. A warm air of cordiality pervaded the atmosphere, and the enthusiastic exchange of reminiscences helped disperse the winter chill, to everyone's enjoyment.

At this meeting the Club elected Ed Parsons '53 as acting president to serve until the slate of officers for the winter season has been approved by the members of the Club. This slate will be presented for consideration at the next meeting. Monthly luncheon meetings were established to fall on the second Wednesday of each month, subject to change by notice of the acting president. The next luncheon meeting will be on August 9 in the Bankers' Club. Notice of dining room seating will be made one week in advance of the date.
