Now that the sturdy sugar maples of New England have lost their glorious scarlet mantles and their branches stand stark and bare against a background of the green of towering white pines, a good number of the Class of 1905 have made off for their usual winter stay in Florida.

The first of these are John and Lucy Bell who spend only about three months of the year in their home in New Hampshire, the rest in Clearwater. This town is a sort of center for the 'O5 men and women. It is in Clearwater Beach that we regularly have our Florida reunion, under the able management of Roger Brown.

C.C. Hills has made the big move of selling out his "goods and chattels," except real estate, and is to make his permanent residence in Florida. His address is now: 1027 McDonald Street, Mount Dora, Zip Code 32757, telephone 902-383-4315. C.C. will be glad to be nearer to his daughter. We wish him all happiness in Mount Dora (the hill of gifts).

Dick Tolman has been having a very rough time because of an accident. As he was getting into his car the door closed on his left leg. The injury was very painful and necessitated 24 stitches. Dick had to spend three months at home and in the hospital three weeks. Unfortunately Mabel, Dick's wife, is so infirm that she is confined to her room in bed practically all the time. They have two homemakers taking care of them 24 hours a day.

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of John Tuck. He had been ill for a long time, but had been able to enjoy an occasional ride. At the suggestion of Jack '54 and his wife Peg, on September 8 John had been transferred by ambulance from Ormond to the Heritage Center in Athens, Ga., where he could enjoy visits from Jack and his family much more easily. Marion was with him also very faithfully. On October 21 there was a sharp change in John's condition and he was sent to hospital where he was put in the Special Care Unit. He died peacefully October 24.

Our deep sympathy goes out to Marion and her family.
