THE Dartmouth chapter of Beta Theta Pi, which severed its affiliation with the national fraternity last February and as a local called itself the Beta House, has returned to its former status as the fullfledged Alpha Omega chapter of Beta Theta Pi. Reaffiliation this fall took place in time to allow the chapter to pledge its new delegation to the national fraternity.

Referring back to the disagreement of last fall and winter, when the desire of the Williams chapter to pledge a Negro was at issue, Thomas A. Grey 62, Dartmouth chapter president, said, "In the months that followed many facts came to light which were previously unavailable to us. The national officers were aware of the situation all along, but were nursing it along until the national convention this summer. . .. With our criteria more than fulfilled, we reenter Beta Theta Pi knowing that we enter a national fraternity which through integrity and courage has overcome a situation which every national fraternity must face in the future."
