Chairman Russ Brace called a meeting of the Class Executive Committee (open to all members of the class) in Hanover, Saturday morning, October 14. Ted Bremble, Don Davidoff, Bob Dumont, Glen French, Jack Hubbard, Doug Keare, and I attended the session, which was an interesting and productive one. Jim Flynn's dues program is progressing well. A follow-up note has been mailed to help wind it up. A memorial book has been purchased by the class treasury for the late Neville Fowler as has been done for the two other members of the class who have died since our graduation. Bob Dumont's pre-game reunion picnic took place in various cars around North Fayer-weather in heavy rain, but the party at the D.O.C. House on Occom Pond after the game was a great success and well attended. Bill and Jane Barrett were in town that weekend. Bill received a law degree from B.U. and is with a Boston law firm. They are living in Concord, Mass. Also living in Concord are Egil and Judy Stigum, who, with Tony Sherman, were staying with the Millers in Hanover. Tony has just finished Harvard Business School. Egil is with a Boston accounting firm and the proud father of two. Ken Bridge was back visiting his home and the College. A single man, Ken has taken up residence on the edge of the Wellesley College campus and is working at a bank in Wellesley Lower Falls.

Tiny Strong heads up the Dartmouth Club at Harvard and arranged to open the Harvard cage to Dartmouth alumni October 28. The building was filled with the classes of '55-'60. Bernt and Marcia Stigum were among the crowd along with Ernst Zwick '58 and his bride Julia Ann (Clay). Bernt is working on his Ph.D. in economics at M.I.T. He received his Master's from Harvard, March, 1959. Dave Haight and a young lady from New Jersey were cheering for the Green both weekends.

George Jobson has been recalled to active service by the Navy. He left the industrial and contractor supplies business in Haverstraw, N. Y., and began his tour of duty on October 22. Ray Rustia is managing editor of "Reproductive Methods for Business and Industry" magazine in New York City. Ray and Carol are living in Greenwich, Conn. Josh Hill is the new chairman of the New York Publishing Society, which serves as a forum on trends and purposes in industry and as an employment clearing house. Josh is assistant vice-president of Turck and Reinfeld printing company. Bob "Wardy"Wardwell is doing research for Polaroid and has just taken on the job of sports editor for the Belmont, Mass., Herald. He and Joan have a four-month-old son. Dickand Georgia Whitney and their son have moved to Marianna, Fla., where Dick has been appointed manager of the Warner Brothers Slimwear plant. Larry Armour, after he finished Dartmouth, went on to Northwestern School of Business Administration. He is now a securities analyst for Oppenheimer Co. in New York and lives in Springfield, N. J. The Plainfield CourierNews ran an article on his views and advice on investments.

Ron MacKenzie recently became manager of the life, health and accident insurance department of a Winchester, Mass., insurance company. Ron started his insurance work in 1958 after two years as an officer in the Army. At the end of his first year, the Boston Life Supervisors' Club named him "Rookie of the Year." Ron and Janet have two children and are living in Burlington. In his spare time, Ron has been coaching the freshman hockey team at Winchester High. Kirby Fowler started with the First National Bank of Somerset County, N. J., in 1959 and has just been given a position on the staff of their newly opened Belle Mead office. Kirby and his wife, Pat, have a daughter Cathleen Ellen and are living in Plainfield. Bob and Judy Browne have moved to the Kents Hill School in Maine where Bob is teaching English and French and Judy assists with the girls' athletic program. Roger Griffin has been appointed assistant supervisor of a Minneapolis agency of Aetna Life Insurance Company. Roger was with a grain and oilseed company before going into insurance. He and Janet have a daughter two-and-ahalf. Margie and Gordie Lenci, who made occasional visits to Cape Cod this summer, are now in New Jersey, where Gordie is teaching English and math at the Pingry School.

Bill Balliette finished his tour in Navy Air in 1959 and is in his third year at the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he seems to be getting the most out of his courses. A few weeks ago Bill became engaged to a classmate, Andrea Cafiero of North Wildwood, N. J. Andrea graduated from Eden Hall Academy in Torresdale, Pa., and Rosemont College. JackWheatley and Priscill Ohmann were married in Braintree, Mass., on August 19. Dennie Minely served in the Army and went to work for Westinghouse Electric in New York in 1959. He is engaged to be married to Ivy Elizabeth Starr of Cincinnati, a Smith graduate. Ken Rice is engaged to Marjorie Jones of Anderson, Ind. Ken received his Master's degree in business administration from Babson Institute and is in the Army finance corps at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana. Bob Castles and Janet Dorfman were married in Malverne, Long Island, September 23, and Sid Devorsetz and Suzanne Koenig were married a few weeks before in Munich, Germany. They are now living in Albany, where Sid is an assistant attorney general for the state. Art Zich, who got his start with "Jack-O" and "Dart," is a reporter for Life magazine in New York. Art was recently married to Janet Pitbladdo of Pittsford, N. J. Janet is a graduate of Northwestern and is on the editorial staff of "Sports Illustrated."

Len Giuliani, Lieutenant in Navy Air, gives an address of VA 94, Fleet Post Office, San Francisco. Chick Carlson is living in Charleston, W. Va., where he is a salesman for Pittsburgh Plate Glass. Paul Gingold is in Seoul, Korea, as international representative for - Investors Overseas Services. JoeGonnella completed Harvard Medical School and is a Captain in the Army Medical Corps. Tony Carleton has his degree from Harvard Business School, is with an industrial finance company in Natick, and lives in Wellesley. Mac Lambing is in investment banking in Pittsburgh. Ed Winters is business office manager for Bell Telephone in Bristol, Pa.

Last month I promised a report on men from our class in merchandising and retail store management, real estate, and pharmaceuticals. My count is nine, three, and five. Dick Burg is a buyer for Popular Merchandise Company, a mail order firm in New Jersey and lives in New York. Herm Friedman, whose wife Linda is from Savannah, is in retail sales there. Kent Kane is with Montgomery Ward in Pueblo, Colo. ArnieLevin, father of four boys, is in the diamond importing business in Tokyo. Mike andCarole Ann Levy are living in Palisade, N. J. Mike served three years in the Air Force and is sales manager for Levy's Inc., audio-visual and photographic supplies and sporting goods. Ralph and Sandra Maniscalco are living in Rochester, N. Y., where Ralph is in retail business. Bill and MarilynNorton are in Ithaca, where Bill is in sporting goods. Steve Osman is with a wholesale drug company in Stamford, Conn. Steve is married and has a son. Pete Rosenwald started as buyer of cosmetics and drugs for the Hecht Company in 1959. He and Cynthia and their two children live in Baltimore.

Jim Cochrane is in the real estate business in Swarthmore, Pa. He attended Temple University Law School for a year and served in the Army. He and Sarah are living in Chester Springs. Burnie and DonnaMartin and son are in Ashtabula, Ohio, where Burnie is in real estate and insurance. George Records is in real estate and investments in Oklahoma City.

There are five '56s in the manufacture and distribution of pharmaceuticals. EmHouck is with Eli Lilly in Indianapolis. He and Jane have a son and daughter. Slim andEllen Blanchard are in Westport, Conn.; Slim is with Johnson Labs. Dave Shaffer has been at the College of Pharmacy in Toledo. Stan Klapper finished Tuck and served as an officer in the Army. He is with Merrell-National Overseas Laboratories in New York. Stan and Gale live in New Jersey. Tom and Jean Rosenwald and daughter are living in Bronxville. Tom is district sales manager for Wyeth Labs in Secaucus, N. J.

Next month's column should have a report on the turnout for the Princeton game and gathering at the firehouse and a special on men from our class in the aircraft industry, atomic research, chemistry, and manufacture of photographic supplies.

The Class of '58 was well represented at the wedding of Stephen Jonas '5B and DebraLee Shacat in Waterbury, Conn. The College contingent included (l to r) John Fiske'58, Craig Haines '58, Andy Toorock '58, the bride, the groom, Ralph Jonas '31,father of the groom, and Stan Bailey '58. The bride is a Barnard College graduate.
