SEE YOU IN HANOVER IN JUNE

How many of you read Cap Pierce's letter in the January issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE? Since he lives on the West Coast he suggests that the Ivy League should hold a football game out there so that the Easterners living there could see the Ivy Leaguers in action. To make the game interesting he suggests that the team be made up from the best players of all the Ivy League colleges. There is no question but that it would create a lot of interest.

After May first Bernice and Gus Ayers will take up their residence at The Sequoias, 501 Portola Road, Portola Valley, Calif.

Among the many activities which keep the retired members of 1906 from falling asleep in their rocking chairs, Jack Kingsbury's appeals to me. Jack is a beachcomber, who searches for rare shells on the ocean shores at Myrtle Beach. He has a beautiful collection which he would be glad to show to anyone motoring in his vicinity.

Jack also writes that our classmate, JohnSlack, has one of the most interesting gift shops in the South and is well worth visiting. Please remember that Francis Childs is waiting to hear from you as to whether or not you will attend our 55th.

I hope all of you are keeping in mind the fact that the 1961 Alumni Fund starts officially on April 1. We must have the help of every single member of the class if we are to make our quota.

The following classmates will celebrate their natal day during the month of April. Lonnie Russ, Hal Smith, Phil Chase, FredJones, Joe Nuelle, Watson Smith, WillisHowe, Joe Cushing and William Twiss.

The '07 class baseball team will be remembered as a typical class team of its day. The well-known players included (l to r), front row, Dick Goode, Kid Howard, captain, Tom Reilly, Charlie Fields; second row, Julian Harris, Ralph Knight, Bill Ahern; and third row, Ted Richardson, manager, Judge McLane, George Grebenstein, and Rusty Peck.
