Our report this month is on social events of the DAAW, both past and future. First - reaching back into almost unrecorded time - the annual Moonbi Blast became a regular event on our calendar in November. For the second year in a row, an enthusiastic crowd of the faithful wound their way out to the Moonbi Inn in Germantown for drinks, dinner, music, and dancing. Worthy of note are the travels of Joan and Dick Trump '50, all the way from Two Rivers, to be with us.

Next was the Christmas Luncheon, held at the University Club in Milwaukee. A good group of prospective '65's came and shared some eighty-plus luncheons -with alumni and undergraduates. Don Gates '42, Dartmouth's answer to Bob Newhart, presided over the gathering and introduced the speakers, whose numbers included John "Cal Coolidge" Willetts '40 and several vacationing undergraduates.

Our latest get-together, the Annual Meeting, was held in late March at the Chalet in Mequon. On the business side, three of four incumbent DAAW officers were reelected. Jim Curtis '41, our new Vice President, joins John Zillmer '48, President, John Brennan '57, Treasurer, and Dick Stanley '53, Secretary, in serving for the next two years. A vote of thanks is in order for Phil Mayer '55, retiring Vice President, in recognition of his most worthy efforts during bis term of office.

We were very fortunate in having Dean-Emeritus Joseph McDonald as visiting representative from Hanover. His many years of service to Dartmouth and his rich sense of humor have led to an almost endless collection of anecdotes on the lighter side of Dartmouth Life. Dean McDonald is a vigorous and entertaining person. We enjoyed his visit with us.

For the future, two events, of which you will receive notice, are planned for the summer. In July, again at Pine Lake, we'll have our summer picnic. Then, in early September, the golf outing will take place, probably at Port Washington. See you there.

A state-wide meeting of Dartmouth men at the Highway Hotel, Concord, N. H., May 3, brought together a number of club presidents, as well as head football coach Bob Blackman as guest speaker. The group included (l to r) Philip McInnis '36, Alumni Council member; President Emeritus Hopkins, guest of honor; Bob Blackman; Stephen W. Winship '41, president of the Merrimack County club; Lewis H. Ross '23, president of the Manchester Alumni Association; Bradford M. Kingman '25, president of the Dartmouth Club of the Seacoast Region; and Charles E. Clough '52, president of the Dartmouth Club of Nashua.
