Six recent graduates of the College have come to Hanover to fill administrative staff vacancies since the close of the last college year. Robert J. Evans ’49 of Beverly, Mass., and Ralph N. Manuel ’58 of Brunswick, Md., are serving as Assistants to the Director of Admissions; Charles E. Breed ’51 of Billings, Mont., as Associate in the Office of Development; William C. Quimby ’52 of Granby, Conn., as Assistant Director of Financial Aid; Thomas E. Byrne 3rd ’55 of White Plains, N. Y., as Business Manager of the Hopkins Center; and Jay C. Whitehair Jr. ’55 of Ipswich, Mass., as Assistant to the Dean of the College.

Evans has come from the Shore Country Day School in Beverly, where he taught history and was director of public relations. Manuel recently com- pleted four years of Navy service. Breed, whose duties will relate primarily to the Alumni Fund and alumni club scholar- ship programs, was district agent in Mon- tana for the Connecticut Mutual Life In- surance Cos. and before that was an oil geologist with The California Cos. Quimby, a former member of the faculty at Kimball Union Academy, has most re- cently been with the home office of the Connecticut General Life Insurance Cos. in Hartford. Byrne, who served three years as an Air Force pilot instructor and was 1955’s class secretary from graduation until 1960, has been a busi- ness office manager with the New York Telephone Cos. Whitehair since gradua- tion has been with Sylvania Electric Products, Inc., and most recently with the G. H. Tennant Cos. of Newton, Mass.
