Dean Thaddeus Seymour and his charming wife Polly were guests for our annual dinner. Ninety of us heard the Dean report on his large sphere of activity. The Dean also acquitted himself well at a press luncheon earlier that day, which was arranged byFrank Hutchins ’45 and well attended by representatives of area newspapers, radio stations, and television stations. The Dean also attended a meeting of local high school students with our Enrollment Committee. It was a busy day and a successful day.
Some light-hearted business, including the election of officers, was conducted after dinner. The officers elected for the coming year are: John Greisbergcr ’46, President; Leon Sturraan ’30, Vice President; HenryW. Williams Jr. ’52, Secretary; Bob VanReypen ’47, Treasurer; Alan Karcher 51, Assistant Treasurer. Executive committee members consist of: Bob Schoonmaker ’42,Ed Kidd ’54, Bob Long ’27, Dick Mayberry’44, Wallace Ashnault ’53, Lan Cady ’57, and Dr. John Feltner ’3l.
John Osborn ’45 and Ed Leene ’43 re- ported the success of this year’s enrollment drive on behalf of the 25-man club Enroll- ment Committee. Nine Rochester area high school seniors will add to the class of 1967 at Hanover this fall. A mailing list of 250 names was compiled this year. Thirty-five of this number completed applications and thir- teen in all were admitted. Among those go- ing to Hanover in September is William M. Williamson, son of Bob Williamson ’34.
The Dartmouth Club Annual Picnic was well attended on June 30 at Ed Kidd’s ’54 “dude ranch” overlooking Irondequoit Bay near Lake Ontario. A 1 Karcher ’5l was head of the picnic committee.
