THE COVER Into the life of the entering freshman during his first days at Dartmouth the black-hatted IDC (Interdormitory Council) man enters in a big way, serving as shepherd and as the means of getting the freshman off on the right foot. Shown on the cover is one of this invaluable corps with part of his ’66 group at the Baker Library reception at which freshmen first met their faculty advisers.
