It's just too bad that Bus Mosbacher wasn't left back in second grade so that we could share in the glory. At least JohnEaton with passenger Oz Ostberg had his floating "Flamingo Club" in the spectator fleet.

Wemo Epply is off to a good, fast, and interesting start as newsletter editor and I sure hope that the 1944 Fall House Party that he and Boston Bob McLaughry, BillMcElnea, and others have organized for next weekend turns out to be the boomer that's expected. (At pre-announcement time, over 40 were lined up.) However, if this intermediate get-together thing succeeds as the promoters expect, don't be surprised to get an invitation to come to Hanover during some mucky weekend in March for an extravaganza like hearing Swampy Marsh recite Edna St. Vincent Millet.

Good news for those classmates interested in the Kentucky Derby. Charles "X" Larrabee has moved from New York City duties with a management consulting firm to Lexington, Kentucky, where he is the new assistant to the president of Spindletop Research, Inc. In addition to administrative duties, "X" will also Be responsible for the new research center's public and community relations programs. His experience in scientific research administration includes three years at Stanford Research Institute and four years with the research headquarters of United Fruit Company. The Larrabees have seven children.

Jack Haffenreffer was good enough to send me a copy of Gustin-Bacon Mfg. Co.'s elaborate house organ, which headlined Alex McPherson's election as general manager. Until that time, Alex had been assistant to the president. Gustin Bacon, with headquarters in Kansas City, is one of the largest and most successful manufacturers of insulating materials. The next time you climb the Needle in Seattle, remember Alex insulated it, air conditioning, piping, spinning restaurant and all.

Just in case you haven't heard, winning Olympic hockey coach of '60, Jack Riley will be succeeded by his old mentor Eddie Jeremiah '30, for the '64 Olympics. Elsewhere in sports, golfer Sperk Welch recently had a best ever 112, not counting out-of-bounds and mulligans.

Treasury Secretary C. Douglas Dillon recently appointed Bill Turpin as his special assistant. Bill has been director of the Treasury's Executive Secretariat since January. He has been a foreign service officer since 1948 serving at posts in Munich, Belgrade, Washington, and Moscow. Bill Seidman has also entered the political arena, as Komney's choice for Auditor General on we Republican ticket in Michigan. And Campaign Manager Whit Wells's tiger won the New Hampshire Republican primary for Governor.

Jim Briggs has had to change luncheon restaurants because of remodeling and it just so happens we've again picked the same one. And darned if he hasn't got squatters rights over there too. Same table every day. Jim's now got a definite goal in life . . . to be the first one in the class to retire. From the sanctity of the models' dressing room at the Cincinnati Jr. League Fashion Show I heard that Dick Revenaugh was in town. My wife overheard Dick's sister say that her handsome big brother was in the audience. As usual, Bud Coiih's glamorous wife Nancy was one of the highest lights in the show.

The 3M Company has moved Sherm Davis again, this time to Glen Ellen, Illinois. Doug Alton is now making his home in Clearwater, Fla. Bob Tompa has been named as chairman of the Department of Business Administration at Monmouth College in West Long Branch, N. J. In Springfield, Mass., Bill Cary was elected by the School Committee for teaching secondary grades English, Mathematics, and Science.

The Boog McLouds spent a pleasant September vacation playing "Weatherly" in a chartered sailboat on Chesapeake Bay. Their neighbors, the Dick Rangers, packed the kids in a trailer and toured the Colorado Rocky Mountains this summer.

Dr. Dick Allenby is now at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D. C. Dr. Bill Stahl is in Burlington, Vt., an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Vermont and practicing at Mary Fletcher Hospital.

Secretary, 1105 Center St., Milford, O.
