We decided to try something new this year and the result was most satisfactory. The Club over, the past several years has held a picnic in the spring for just the alumni and their wives. Since we try to have a luncheon or some affair in the fall for the undergraduates before they depart for school, this seemed a good opportunity to combine the two events.

About 75 alumni, wives, undergraduates and dates attended the picnic held at the home of Ray King Jr. 'SO in East Longmeadow last month. Bill McManus '46 did a fine job as general chairman. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious buffet. As alumni get better acquainted with these young men, it becomes more evident that this current group of Dartmouth students is really outstanding.

Our next activity will be a Football Smoker in late December to review what we hope will be a successful Ivy League campaign.
