Thanks to the initiative of our President Herb Fish '29 and all-time bachelor and Secretary Didier Pineau-Valencienne '56T,the Dartmouth Club of Paris held its fall dinner on Saturday November 18.

Upon Didier Pineau-Valencienne's kind invitation, we had cocktails at his apartment after which the 31 of us proceeded to a very Parisian restaurant right in the heart of Paris, "La Poêle d'Or." There President Herb Fish greeted new members: Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Harvey, John Mecklin '39, Charles Carleton '41, Tony Field '61 and Robert Eder '62, a distinguished young man representing the Dartmouth students enrolled at the University of Caen on the Junior Year Program.

New plans were discussed as to how the Dartmouth Club of Paris could welcome the students while on their visit to Paris. The launching of a scholarship program was considered. More frequent meetings and perhaps business luncheons with other Ivy League Clubs could be arranged.

Fearing a surtax (it was almost midnight!) all the projects were summarized by President Fish and Mrs. Fish graciously proposed the next meeting to be at the Fish's apartment mid February.

We are looking forward to a wonderful evening.
