JOHN W. HENNESSEY JR., Professor of Business Administration, has been appointed to the newly established position of Associate Dean at the Tuck School, President Dickey announced last month. He will be in charge of academic affairs at the business school, including curriculum design and faculty recruiting, and will serve as alternate dean during absences of Dean Karl A. Hill '38.

Professor Hennessey, who came to Tuck School in 1957, will continue teaching and research in his major field of interest, organizational behavior. He and his associate in the field, Prof. Robert H. Guest, are currently launching research projects in hospital administration.

Professor Hennessey currently serves on the steering committee for the Great Issues Course and is chairman of the Trustees Planning Committee's Subcommittee on Advisory and Counseling Services. He also serves on the School of Nursing Committee of Mary Hitchcock Hospital board of trustees.

Professor Hennessey, a native of York, Pa., was an Army officer in World War II, serving in the Pacific theater. He was graduated from Princeton University in 1948, earned a Master's degree from Harvard in 1950, and a doctorate at the University of Washington in 1956.
