Letters written to all our living classmates by J. D. Brown have produced the information that four '97 men definitely plan to return to Hanover next month for the 65th reunion and that one other hopes to come.

Those planning to be present on Commencement weekend, June 8-10, are FredAppleton, J. D. Brown, Carroll Morse, and Albert Watson. Word from Horace Pender, whose wife has been in the hospital for several months, is that he will come if he can but circumstances make it very doubtful.

One '97 man we will especially miss is Bill Ham, who served so faithfully as our class secretary for many years. For the whole class we would like to send him this message:

DEAR BILL:

A few of your classmates will go to Dartmouth in June for the celebration of the sixty-fifth year reunion. Some of us cannot be there. Old Man Nature will hardly let us go out and play in the snow. We recall what an athlete you were in college days. You won a trophy for Dartmouth at an intercollegiate meet. You may not be able to attend the reunion 'but you will not be out of mind.

May He who brings peace and solace to the mind bring to you that patience and that calm that permits us to say with Browning "God is in His heaven, all's right with the world."

I call to mind Tennyson's opening lines in his "Charge of the Light Brigade." Am I stretching my imagination when I think how some of our classmates were like the soldiers of that famous charge during these 65 years since we were graduated from Dartmouth? Many also met their Belaklava. Fortunate were they if on the coming back to Dartmouth for reunion they found a Crimea on which to renew their spirits. Now after 65 years, only a squad, no longer a regiment, will answer "Present" in this year 1962.

We who can no longer follow the flag and answer to our names wish that God's richest blessing may rest on and abide with the small number who will answer "Present" when the sergeant calls the roll.
