SAMUEL R. GAMMON of the U.S. State Department began a three-week teaching and study visit to the College on April 16. He is the first Associate of the Public Affairs Center under a new program that will bring public servants to the College periodically to participate in teaching programs and to meet with students interested in public service careers.

He taught at both Princeton and Emory Universities before joining the State Department. He has served in Europe and has had extensive experience in the Department's Executive Secretariat.

During his Dartmouth stay, Mr. Gammon is participating in work in international politics, American foreign policy, administration, and the Great Issues Course.
