THE Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston, believed to be the oldest alumni club in the United States, will celebrate its 100th anniversary at a gala dinner on Wednesday evening, January 22.
The dinner, to be held in the Hotel Statler ballroom, will be not only a centennial celebration but also the occasion for honoring President John Sloan Dickey and President Emeritus Ernest Martin Hopkins as two college leaders who have brought alumni participation to the forefront of American higher education.
President Dickey will give the main address of the evening, and President Emeritus Hopkins and Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller '3O of New York have been invited as other guests of honor.
Lester R. Godwin '30, president of the Boston alumni association, will preside at the anniversary dinner, and the Dartmouth Glee Club will be the main musical attraction. A reception for alumni and their wives will precede the dinner.
