The Dartmouth Club of Cincinnati established a "first" in alumni club activity when the Dartmouth Night program was heard from the campus by direct wire in the home of Lew Johnstone '41. About seventy alumni and wives were present at this official opening of the Club season for the broadcast "surrounded" by a cocktail and dinner party. Weather was perfect and the guests assembled on the lawns and porches and listened to the program via loud speakers that were hooked up to the direct wires, installed earlier that day by the telephone company. Following the program and buffet dinner there was good camaraderie with the usual off-key harmonizing of Dartmouth medleys.

Other Club activities include a visit by Eddie Chamberlain '36 on September 19 when he spoke to area enrollment and interviewing workers. Dick Hoar '49 handles enrollment and John Egbert '39, interviewing. Plans include school contacts, now; a father-son smoker during Christmas vacation; and a follow-up gathering after applicants have heard from Hanover next spring.

Officers for the current year are GrantHesser '41, president; Ted Eberle '51, vice president; Frank Simpson '41, treasurer and Bill Petty '54, secretary.
