Soccer goalie Dave Smoyer has been honored with selection on the soccer coaches' All-American team. Smoyer is one of the few three-sport men in College and won three letters last year. He is currently a star on the squash team and in the spring will turn to tennis.
Soccer captain Skip Mattoon was also chosen as an honorable mention for the All-American Team.
The baseball hotstove league has been boiling this winter with news of big league trades. A recent one, which involved the Washington Senators and the Baltimore Orioles, had Dartmouth written all over it. In a trade which involved a swap of two players for three, Pete Burnside '52 was sent to Baltimore, while Art Quirk '59 will put on a Washington uniform. Both are pitchers, Burnside compiling a 5-11 record in 1962, while Quirk was 2-2 with the Orioles and 7-6 at minor league Rochester.
