Gordon P. Chipman '26 (1) was saluted as Class Newsletter Editor of the Year at the May gathering of Dartmouth class officers in Hanover. The following citation was read by Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, who made the award:

There are few editors who put as much time, effort, and energy into newsletter writing as you, Gordon Chipman. Your style of writing, which is all your own, has made your newsletter as much a part of the '26 family scene as their favorite daily paper. Your issues are jammed with news of not only classmates, but of class business and College affairs.

Your newsletters reflect the same high standard of editorial workmanship which has characterized your numerous articles and lectures on hotel management; a career you followed until becoming Sales Manager of the Denominator Co. in 1953.

During the past year you have served as president of the Class Newsletter Editors Association, a position filled with your usual vigor, often going many miles to attend regional meetings of newsletter editors.

Your interest and leadership in newsletter writing has not gone unnoticed by your College Having served as editor since 1957, we feel that this appreciation for a job well done is long overdue It is a pleasure to present to you the Newsletter Editor of the Year Award for 1963.
