George and Helen Watts' trip to Europe was splendid throughout. They were too early for tulips in Holland so spent a week in Paris and took "side trips." Then to Geneva to be with friends and the lovely spring in the lovely Lake Geneva area. Then the Loreli express to Amsterdam for the spring flowers. Then to Paris, Rome, Florence, and Venice and in the San Giorgia a ten days' cruise of the Greek Islands, Athens, Istanbul, Izmir (old Smyrna), and Ephesus. After that they cancelled the trip to Spain and returned to Geneva, being often with former Davidson College boys and their families. They returned to New York on June 10 and on to Cape Cod, their summer home, before returning to Davidson, N. C.

On July 27 at Ernest Thomas' home at Rock, Middleboro, Mass., part of the 1913 clan gathered for their annual summer meeting: Ben and Marion Andrew, Edmund andGladys Freeman, the George Watts, and of course, Ernest. Ernest's daughter Marion and her husband, who were with us on our 50th reunion, served the dinner.

They expect to leave the middle of October for a trip to Pleasant Hill, Tenn., via the Blue Ridge skyway and the Great Smokies.
