Scant news, this month. Scant. But instead of railing at you and flinging wild invectives I'm going to bless you. Your silence came just in time, for this column, too, was very nearly silent this month.

If this be treason make the most of it, but I must confess that I'm well pleased there has been so little mail. I have been so harassed of late I could not have done a thick mail box justice.

In just two more days it's off to Hanover for the Princeton joust, but by the time you read this it will have been old hat. From early indications Blackman's boys are not as anemic as touted and I'm looking for another winning season, at least.

Though the news is skimpy it's all good this month. One of our old boys even made president of his firm and that doesn't hardly happen very often. The chap of whom I speak is Ron Williams, Ronald E., I suppose, now forevermore. He was elected president of L'Aiglon Apparel, Inc., a dress and blouse manufacturer. Before joining L'Aiglon Ron was a member of the corporate finance department of Kidder, Peabody & Co., members of the New York Stock Exchange. He joined his present firm in 1961 and moved right up - didn't even have to marry the boss's daughter. Or did you, Ron?

From New Jersey comes more news of Julian Robinson. Julie, as you know, is Health and Welfare director of Jersey City, and when, last summer, the mayor went off on vacation, Julie was acting mayor. So if you're ever in Jersey City and want a ticket fixed. ... I guess not.

In Boston, the Peerless Insurance Company lived up to its name by displaying that kind of judgment in picking one of ours as treasurer. He's Charlie Tremblay, erstwhile ski wizard, who's turned financial wizard. After graduating with us Charlie finished up at Tuck. He joined Peerless in 1957 and was named assistant treasurer in 1962. So remember next time you need insurance: You're in Tremblay hands with Peerless. (OW-ooo-ooo)

The setting in of cool weather finds another of our classmates once more in Northern climes. He is Arnold Muller, doctor of medicine, major of the Air Force, and chief of medical services at the base hospital of Westover Air Force Base in Springfield, Mass. This last title was conferred upon Arnold the end of this past summer. Arnold had previously been chief of medicine at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida so the change in assignments meant a change of scene for him, his wife Anne, and their four wee tads.

Another move, but not such a complete one, was recently made by Charles Schuck. This one probably didn't require a relocation for he moved from his teaching job at Mount Vernon (N. Y.) High School, to a similar job in neighboring Scarsdale (N. Y.) High School.

Across Westchester and down the coast in Plainfield, N. J., we find another '52 who is apparently doing well in his chosen field. There, Dr. Richard G. Lathrop has opened an additional (second) office for his practice of dermatology. He started his practice of skin diseases in Plainfield in 1962 and has now branched out with an office in neighboring Union, N. J.

Finally, and this bit of knowledge I gained with my own ears and eyes, if you will watch closely for the NBC-TV weekly "That Was The Week That Was," you'll see classmate Buck Zuckerman taking a number of parts these days. I hope this doesn't mean he's stopped crusading for "Naked Animals" (or against them or something) for I thought he was making great progress in that field.

And that's it folks. About to write 30 to another one. And thanks again for not writing. It sure saved me a lot of work.
