Experimental Spectroscopy by Ralph A. Sawyer '15 has been reprinted in a Third Edition (the first being in 1944) by Dover Publications, Inc., New York (342 pp. $2.00. Paperback). According to the Preface to the Dover Edition, "New material has been added on the important developments which have taken place in spectroscopy in the last ten years." The author has also had an article, "Optics and the Scientific Manpower Problem," published in the Journal of the Optical Society of America, Vol. 54, No. 4, 422-448, April 1964.
A revised edition of Prof. John H. Wolfenden's book, New Medical Problems inAdvanced Chemistry, first published in 1938, has been issued by the Clarendon Press. In bringing his volume up to date, Professor Wolfenden in the revised edition has two co-authors: R. E. Richards, Dr. Lees Professor of Physical Chemistry at Oxford University, and his wife, E. E. Richards, an Oxford don.
