The Faculty Committee on Graduate Fellowships desires to draw the attention of recent alumni to the possibility of applying for one of the James B. Reynolds Foreign Scholarships. These scholarships are tenable for study abroad in any field for one year and are not renewable; each will ordinarily carry a stipend of $2300. In cases involving travel to countries remote from the United States a supplementary grant may be made.
Appointment will be recommended to the President of the College on the basis of the ability and character of the applicant, along with the soundness of his proposed program of study and its possible benefit to society. Application forms may be obtained from Mrs. Waldo Chamberlin, Executive Secretary of the Committee on Graduate Fellowships, P.O. Box 674, Hanover, N. H. Completed application forms must be filed not later than January 29, 1965.
For the current year four recent alumni were appointed to Reynolds Fellowships, one to the University of Saigon, one to the University of Barcelona, and two to Oxford. For 1962-1963 three Reynolds Fellowships were awarded to alumni, one to the University of Edinburgh, one to Oxford, and one to Japan.
