Ralph and Mabel Tackaberry are on the move again, this time to Mexico. After a few weeks there, to Phoenix to visit the Y.M.C.A. "which was erected after my sojourn there in '44 to assist in raising funds. On the way home in time for Christmas they will visit Oak Creek and Grand Canyons, Painted Desert, Santa Fe, and Las Vegas. Syd Clark writes from Lucayan Beach at Grand Bahama and froni Two Turtles Inn at Georgetown in the Bahamas. At the former he was the guest of the Government, then home to vote via Miami and Bermuda. On November 4 he was scheduled to fly to France, then Portugal and Spam with a lot of islands included for another one of his famous travel books. No Christmas in USA this year. Allie and Scott Rogers spent his 75th birthday with Allies relatives in Los Angeles, taking m the Canadian Northwest on the way. Florida again is on their schedule for early in January. All you Floridians take notice.

A welcome letter was received from Harrie Chase who is now Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals in Brattleboro, Vt. Harrie and Mina celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1962 and are planning on Florida this winter and possibly California and Arizona. They boast ten grandchildren. Sarah and Jim English live in Clearwater, Fla., the year around, spending their time going out to dinner on the occasion of a birthday of one of the large Dartmouth group there, reading, and, for Sarah, chatting on the phone with her friends. Katherine and Connie Snow have been taking in all the football games in Hanover, in fact, they added their bit to the "terrific" turnout of 1912 for the Princeton game. By the way, we ran into Marguerite and FletcherClark on the outskirts of Hanover with no tickets for the game.

We have a new bride in the class! Alice, wife of Ken Kimball, married over a year now and eagerly looking forward to more '12 reunions. Did I tell you Boss Geller was reelected president of Tioga County Historical Society? Boss flew on from Owego and rode up to Hanover with your Secretary for that Princeton slaughter. Stan Lovell, president of Lovell Chemical Co., has been made a director of Moore Drop Forgings Co. of Springfield, Mass. Edith and Ray Tobey took one of their fall-foliage trips through northern New England, visiting Edmund Freeman '13 in South Royalton, Vt. They called on Queechie French but found he was out gathering butternuts. The Tobeys were among the invited guests for Dartmouth Horizons last summer.

A nostalgic letter arrived from Hank Allen, formerly known as Duke, relating the tale of Allen's Sarsaparilla, made and sold by his father from the old stand in Portland, Me. As a boy Hank used to sail with his grandfather down Casco Bay visiting the islands, including Great Chebeague, my summer home for over 40 years. Ruth and Hank are now running the Congress Park Gift Center in Brookfield, Ill. Ozzie Osgood is teaching in the History Department at the College of Wooster (Ohio) while his wife Helen is a professor in the same department. His latest publication is "The Field Notes of Captain William Clark, 1803-1805," published by Yale University Press. Poor DutchWaterbury is still rooting for his Green Bay Packers. Keep your chin up, Dutch. He dilates on the "beautiful fruit crop" out there in Wisconsin, plays golf with his wife regularly although his scores are mounting. You will be glad to hear that Edith has "recovered marvelously" from surgery last summer after three or four months of convalescence.

Dick Remsen missed out on his trip to Scotland last May and instead paid a visit to the hospital for some surgery. A good recovery and a summer at Buck Hill put him back on his feet so that he has resumed his round of directors' meetings and four days a week in the office. Both he and Gladys report enjoying living. Social life in Hancock, N. H., has quieted down some since the summer folks have left, according to Hal Fuller. He spent his 75th birthday with his family at his daughter's in Marble-head, sixteen out of nineteen eligibles present. Two of Sam Hobbs' grandsons are playing varsity football, Dave as offensive center at Pomona College and Larry a "tight end" at University of California Riverside. Dave also plays Rugby and both are biological science students. Sam was in Miami last month for the American Concrete Institute meeting where he presided at a board meeting. Marian and Sam are planning on Hanover for our 55th in 1967!

Since last writing 1912 has lost Bill Jepson who died on September 11 after a long illness. Phoebe Jepson writes that Bill's fine spirit and humor helped all the family.
