News this month comes from all over the country as many of us start to settle down in some state of permanency after years in the service or at grad school.
Al Shaver wrote sometime back that he and wife Ellen are now living in Royal Oak, Mich., just outside of Detroit. By the time you read this, Al will have passed the Bar and will be a practicing attorney with a Detroit firm. Al also reports that they have a son, Steve Alan, who is now about 5 months old. Another in Detroit is Dave Lodge who's with Paine, Weber.
Wayne Givens and wife are now in Rochester, N. Y., where the "Giver" is an industrial engineer for Eastman Kodak. JohnWbeaton has extended an invitation to all 60's to stop in and see him if you're on Route 70 in New Mexico. He is at the White Sands Missile Range working with the Nike Zeus/Nike - X systems. Sounds interesting and hot. But, if you're in the area, why not?
I see where two more of us are now practicing law in Connecticut. Chuck Kroner has passed the Bar and is now with a firm in Hartford, I believe. Chuck went to Columbia Law School. Bob Argazzi was also admitted to the Connecticut Bar last year and he is also with a firm in Hartford. Lee Terwilliger was recently named vice-president of the D. L. Terwilliger Company, a lithographing firm in New York City. Lee, wife Sally and young son Donald are living in Wanamassa, N. J.
A report from the Winchester, Mass., Star tells of a bright new folk singing talent in that area - one Ray Pong. Seems Ray has taught himself to play the guitar and now plays as well as sings when he performs at some of the local night clubs. He has even recorded several songs for Veritas Records, which will be released soon on Volume II of Folk Singers Round Harvard Square. In his spare time, Ray attends B.U. Med. School.
Seems that Bob Fairbanks must have decided to return to academic life for awhile. My sources tell me that the "Banks" left his native Cleveland and is now a student at Wharton in Philadelphia. I understand WinRobinson is also at Wharton.
Last December 7, Guy Piltz was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests out in Hawaii. Art Aaronson writes that he'll be interning next year at Grace-New Haven Hospital. Woody Fisher is living in Cleveland where he is a grocery merchandiser for Fisher Foods Inc. Bob Postel is now an assistant at the Metropolitan News Company in New York. Don McLellan is living in Lacona, Wash., where he is an account executive for Dean Whitter & Co.
Out of Kansas City comes word that Roli and Mimi Kolman are now the parents of an 8-pound scrum half named Kent Michael. He was born on March 20. From various sources I gather the Kolmans are out of the Army and Roli is working for Hallmark Cards, Roli always threatens to write but he never does.
Here's one that slipped by me, I think. Gordon DeWitt was married to Mary Albinola of Barre, Vt., last November. The wedding was in Hanover. Gordy is an assistant business manager for Dartmouth. Another one I'm late in reporting: Roger Wolf and Miss Nancy Carol Keebler were married last November in Phoenix. Roger is a lawyer in Tucson and his new bride teaches Spanish at the University of Arizona.
A few quick ones on "whereabouts" and well call it a night. John Barchilon is at Yale Med School, about to finish up I presume. Jim Donaldson is a sales supervisor for the A. E. Chew Food Company down in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. That sounds like tough duty. Don Betterton is a Navy test pilot in Norfolk. Bob Sanders is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. And finally Dave Schreur is a civil engineer and lives in Alligan, Mich.
Finito! Don't forget to give to the Alumni Fund if you haven't already.
