The Admissions Office said the Class of 1967 was a good one, and the academic performance of the freshmen is making the Admissions Office look just as good. The '67 first-term average of 3.1002 establishes a record. The previous high of 2.93 for a first-term effort was shared by the present seniors and sophomores. The Class of 1965 came in at 2.89.
Eleven freshmen, compared with six for the first term a year ago, scored with 5.0 averages straight A's. All were from public high schools.
