By this time we on Long Island realize that the traffic to the Fair is not as bad as our most pessimistic estimates and we also realize that the Fair is something not to be missed. In light of the above, the next piece of logic is simple: everyone in the Association will make their first (or second, third, etc.) trip to the Fair on Dartmouth Day, Saturday, May 23. Bring the family and make it a full day from 11 A.M. on.

The Annual Beach Party at Gilgo Beach will be on June 21 this year. The plans are just about the same as in the past: we will have the beach and beer, you bring food, the whole family, and fun will be had by all. Since the date is a little later this year, we are hoping for good swimming weather. We are also planning to have the popular "egg contest" again this year. If you don't know what that is, come find out at Gilgo on June 21.

The Scholarship Fund Raffle is going well. Some lucky couple will win a trip to the Carleton Beach Hotel in Bermuda. (I hope all the people who have dropped me notes saying they are planning to win understand we are only giving one trip away.) The drawing will be at the Beach Party, so there's lots of time left to sell the rest of your books.
