Administrative changes at the College this past month saw a "to" dropped and "two" added. The former came about when Jay C. Whitehair '55 was promoted from Assistant to the Dean to Assistant Dean. Whitehair's "deaning" involves coordination of fraternity activities, student government, and other student programs in addition to general counseling of students.

The new "two" fall to the Development Office. Robert G. Sands '59 was appointed an Associate, Office of Development, to work primarily with the Alumni Fund, and Allan M. Herrick will serve as an Associate, Office of Development, and will be primarily concerned with research and records.

Sands, who also has an M.B.A. from Tuck School, served as an infantry officer and was stationed in Berlin, Germany. His father is Walter E. Sands '22 and his brother, Frank E. Sands III '58.

Herrick, formerly sales manager of Billings-Starlake Dairy in Norwich, Vt., is a graduate of Wesleyan University, Class of 1945. He served in the Navy in World War II. A resident of Norwich since 1954 when he and his brother-in-law started Starlake Farm, which merged with Billings in 1961, Herrick has been active in many Hanover-Norwich civic programs.
