While some teams have been experiencing mid-season slumps, the golf team is just hitting its stride. As this column is written, Coach Tommy Keane's men are riding the crest of a four-match winning streak. Boston College was beaten 4-3, Middlebury 6-1, Harvard 4-3, and most recently Williams 5-2. The current string of victories has moved the Indians out in front with a season's record of 5-4.
In two other matches played earlier, the Indians defeated Brown 4-3 and lost to Army by the same score. Chuck Pitman and Captain Tom Rand are in the top two positions. It was their victories coupled with those of Richie Payne and Dave Goldstein that gave the Green the big win over Harvard.
