One familiar face will be missing, when the football team assembles here September 1, that of Tony Dougal, the Big Green's Head Trainer. Tony, who came to Dartmouth in 1947 after a coaching career in lacrosse and football at the University of New Hampshire, has resigned, effective July 1.

On that date he will assume the position of Head Trainer at Boston University and will teach Health Education courses in B.U.'s School of Education. Recognized for his lecturing ability, Tony brought to Dartmouth an outstanding record as both an athlete and a student. In 1933 he received a B.S. degree from Temple and in 1939 he added an M.A. from Columbia to his laurels.

As an athlete he excelled in both football and baseball, playing at one time minor league baseball in the Red Sox farm system and later professional football with the Philadelphia Eagles under his college coach Bert Bell. A native of Pennsylvania, Tony coached high school football for several years before going on to West Texas State College and U.N.H.

Memories of great days on the football field were recaptured by members of thefamous National Championship team of 1925, who gathered in Hanover this Junefor their 35th Reunions.
