Oscar received the following characteristic letter from Berthe Leggett. "Dear Oscar, I apologize for the delay in sending my yearly contribution for the Alumni Fund. Please forgive me - My daughter Marjorie left for Europe on March 24 on a very short notice. My brother and his wife called us from Columbus, Ga., and suggested that we join them for a trip to Portugal and Spain. I didn't hesitate too long! Twelve days later we were on the plane! Palessa on Majorca was the highlight of our trip. Marjorie and I flew to Brussels for'five days, then to London for five days. We were a little worn out when we got home. My very best to you."
