Davis Jackson '36, Associate Director of Admissions, will succeed Associate Dean Charles F. Dey '52 as the director of "A Better Chance," the College's eight-week summer program for socially and educationally disadvantaged secondary school students.
Dean Dey has resigned because of the demands of the expanding ABC program, which this summer worked with 50 percent more boys than in its first year, and the pressures of his administrative duties in the Dean's office. He will remain in close touch with the program as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Independent Schools Talent Search Program, which places talented underprivileged students in nearly 100 private preparatory schools.
Mr. Jackson has been associated with the Admissions Office since 1954. He will devote three-fourths of his time to ABC and one-fourth as associate director of admissions.
