Following a local tradition extending back 10 years, the Washington, D. C., Alumni Chapter treated many of the entering class of 1969 to lunch at the Touchdown Club on Thursday, September 9. This was a happy occasion indeed for Larry Reeves '33, the Chairman of the National Enrollment Committee and many of the other Washington alumni enrollment workers, for they had a chance to congratulate the young men whom they had initially interested in the college. Barry Sullivan '36, summed up the feeling of all the alumni present when in the course of his inspiring talk to the luncheon guests he told them, "We of the Dartmouth family envy you."

Among the alumni wishing the 1969's well were Fred Pierce '15; Willis S. Fitch '17; A. Marvin Braverman '29; George E. Flather Jr. '41; Richard A. Whiting '44; Jon Moore '54; Vince Sawyer '58; Norm Laird '48; and the officers of the Dartmouth Club of Washington: Brad Cole '44; Ray Rasenberger '49, and Paul Mannes '58, vice-presidents; Bob Munson '48, secretary; and Frank Martell '44, treasurer; John Harper '57, assistant secretary; John McElwaine '63, assistant treasurer.
