By the time this issue reaches you, I expect to be south of the border down Acapulco way. During my sojourns, I hope to have occasion, over a tequila or two, to catch up on the news from our Mexican contingent, Gary McKee and Bill Jenkins. Gary owns and operates La Flama Inn located in San Miguel de Allende. Bill works in Mexico City as an assistant general manager for the insurance firm, Aseguradora Bancomer, S.A. In case you didn't see the article in the January issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, Bill generously donated $2,500 to the Spanish Club at Dartmouth to enable it to refurnish and decorate its new Robinson Hall quarters in a Spanish mode.
From north of the border there is good news to report, too. Peter Kirby was the member of the Canadian four-man bobsled team which last month won the world championship at St. Moritz, Switzerland. This is a repeat of last year's victory which gave Peter and his maple leaf team-mates an Olympic gold medal.
Another of our Olympic classmates was recently making newspaper headlines by his victory, but in this case the competition wasn't as rugged. Out in Aspen, Colo., TomCorcoran teamed up with Mrs. John F. Kennedy to win a skiing race from Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara and Senator Robert F. Kennedy and children. The newspapers attributed the Corcoran-Kennedy win to Mrs. Kennedy's "good form." There was no mention made of Tom's form, but he certainly rates acclaim as the king of the P R mountain. This is but one of the many "chores" that Tom must perform in his capacity as assistant to the president of Aspen Skiing Corp.
The rest of this column reads like a section of the Boston Herald since the remaining items pertain only to 54's working in Bean Town and vicinity.

Recent columns have included mention of speeches by librarians and professors amidst our ranks. Now it's the turn of the accountants. Charlie Morrison, a C.P.A. and member of the Boston firm of Arthur A. Andersen & Co., spoke recently at the third annual Tax Institute held at Western New England College on the subject of income averaging under the new tax law. Charlie is a graduate of Tuck School and Harvard Law School and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Don Keller, also a C.P.A., is in charge of the Management Services Department of the Boston office of the accounting firm of Touche, Ross, Bailey and Smart. He recently delivered an address before the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the National Association of Accountants. Don is a graduate of Tuck School and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Public Accountants, and the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
If Charlie and Don ever combine forces, I'm sure they would become the Huntley-Brinkley of the C.P.A. banquet network.
Another Tuck School graduate is in the news this month. Ben Bowden has been promoted to vice-president of the First National Bank of Boston. Previously Ben held the position of an assistant vice-president at the Bank.
Ron Pickett, formerly an assistant professor of psychology at Antioch College, has just accepted an appointment as research associate at the Harvard School of Public Health. Ron is now living in Wakefield, Mass.
Jim Love is also joining the greater Boston contingent. A systems engineering manager for IBM, Jim has been transferred from Philadelphia to Waltham, Mass.
