CHARLES H. HOOD 2ND 20 Windmill Lane, Arlington 74, Mass.

It will be almost time, Reunion time, that is, when you read this column. I hope that you won't be among those to whom we'll have to say "wish you were here" from Hanover. It will be a great weekend with a great gang, the guys with whom you spent up to four of the best years of your lives, and their families.

For the last time, we continue to print in all caps in news items the names of those classmates who have said that they will definitely return to the alma mater this June and last names only in caps of those who have said maybe.

The thought has not escaped me that I may have goofed on a few names. If you've been so libeled, I'll settle by the payment of liquidated damages in the amount of $5 a head additional to the Alumni Fund. Any takers? All of which reminds me to inquire whether your contribution is in yet and whether you can in good conscience say that it is a realistic one.

John Ives is the new superintendent of Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown, Conn. Recipient of a Master's in hospital administration from Yale, he stayed in New Haven to work his way up to assistant director of Grace-New Haven Hospital and also assistant to the Dean of the Yale School of Medicine.

John is a member of the American Hospital Association and of the Council of Administrative Practice of the Connecticut Hospital Association and a past president of the Children's Cystic Fibrosis Association of Connecticut. He and his wife have two children.

Ed WEISENFELD is now plant manager of Spencer Packaging Company, a division of Spencer Chemical, which is a subsidiary of Gulf Oil. His base of operations is a two-year-old 60,000 square foot plant in Orange- burg, N. Y., employing 200 people. They print flexible packaging materials for use as roll stock and for conversion into bags. Ed had been with Equitable Paper Bag Co. The clipping service reports in brief. ... Dave SAXTON named product manager of Reynolds Tobacco's Archer Aluminum Division. ... Mike Choukas appointed interim headmaster of Vermont Academy as of July 1. ...J0hn GAMBLING elected a director of the Hempstead, L. I., Bank with his picture in the N. Y. Times article reporting it. ... DAVE HILTON sold an unbelievable $3,200,000 of life insurance last year. ... Line Fenno winner of W. T. Grant Stores' national award for manager of the store showing the greatest improvement in the past year, Augusta, Maine.

We'll start the reply postcard news this month with our medics. BILL MICHENER is a pediatrician on the staff of the Cleveland (Ohio) Clinic. He and wife Roxie have two children, Sarah, 9, and Peter, 7. Bill says he plays tennis all year round.

Jim Thorpen practices pathology out in Casper, Wyo., in a private lab and also at Natrona County Memorial Hospital. On the side, he plays the tuba in the Casper Civic Symphony Orchestra and in a banjo band consisting of two banjos and tuba. He also searches the area for Indian artifacts. Jim and wife Adie have a brood of two, Charles, 2½, and Jim-Jim, 1.

Down in Foggy Bottom, bachelor lawyer Howie Glickstein does appellate and legislative work for the Civil Rights Division of the U. S. Department of Justice. Besides occasional sleep, Howie says his other activities of note are his vacations of the last four years to West Africa, Western. Europe, Japan, and the Balkans.

Cleric Howie Fuller does urban church work for the United Church of Christ in the Buffalo, N. Y., area. His title is Secretary in the Board for Homeland. He and wife Annette have four offspring: Susan, 10; Tom, 9; Katie, 7; and Sally, 4.

Bachelor Bill Leshure teaches social studies and is chairman of that department at Memorial Junior High School in Wilbraham, Mass. On the side he coaches soccer and baseball. He also teaches remedial and developmental reading at the Salisbury (Conn.) Summer School.

Here's still another bachelor; I don't feel so alone any more. Dave Krivitsky is sales vice-president of Ansonia Mills and operates out of Baghdad-on-the-Hudson. As I recall, his firm makes what the soft goods trade describes as "intimate apparel."

Out Chicago-way, Al Katz is a branch manager for Goodall Rubber Co. He and his wife have three children: Jeffery, 11; Susan, 8; and Margaret, 6. In the Philadelphia area, Ted Bailey is an industrial engineer and quality control supervisor with Johns Manville. He and wife Anne also have three offspring: Barbara, 1; David, 9; and Mike, 11.

We've got two IBMers to mention this month, each with two children, one of each sex. That's real programming. Ed Golden is in sales with the title of Account Manager. John MITCHELL sells computers and carries the title of Account Representative.

John, wife Audrey, daughter Marjorie, 7, and son Jeffrey, 4, live in Emmaus, Pa. Ed, wife Nancy, son Tony, 8, and daughter Pam, 6, live in Saratoga, Calif. Ed skis and flies, while John plays golf and claims "an unbelievable 183-yard hole-in-one."

Bayard Johnston is in the same camp, but a competitor. He's a programmer doing defense systems design for UNI VAC in Hanover, N. J. However, he and wife Janet have a brood of three: Nancy, 7; Robin, 1½; and Duncan, still in swaddling clothes. On the side, Bayard does private research in, and collects, ancient woodworking tools and would welcome correspondence from those interested.

Up in Worcester, Mass., John Higley is a branch manager for the Mechanics National Bank. John received an M.B.A. from B.U. in 1964 and is a '66 at Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is active in the Worcester Young Businessmen's Association. He and wife Jane have two boys, Peter, 6, and Timothy, 2.

Also in Worcester, Nase HUROWITZ engages in "pill counting" at the Tech Pharmacy, Inc. Since his title is Treasurer-Manager, I suspect that he counts money, too, to make sure that he has enough to support his wife; Steven, 12; James, 10; and Beth, 9.

A bit farther East in Andover, Mass., Jerry UNDERWOOD is Comptroller of the Atlantic Lumber Company. He and wife Doris should have four offspring by now: Christopher, 7; Jereme, 6; Kelly (a girl), 4; and ?.

Out in Everett, Wash., Dick Eltel is president of Fishermen's Boat Shop, Inc., a commercial boat yard. He and wife Athena have three well-spaced children: Nick, 4½ Maria, 2½; and Sophia, ½. Down the coast in Aptos, Calif., consulting geologist Jim Wylie works for himself. He and wife Margery have two offspring, Robin and Renny.

That leaves your Class Secretary with plenty of acorns, 36 reply postcards to be exact, to stash away for these columns in the fall. But when the postcards run out, don't forget that the news pickings will be slim here — unless you keep sending in the news.
