October was a good month on campus for students interested in contemporary writing. Among the well-known writers addressing College audiences, and meeting with the students in discussion groups, were novelist Bernard Malamud, Beat poet Allen Ginsberg, poet and critic Louis Untermeyer, and poet Ben Belitt. Ginsberg attracted a standing-room only crowd to his reading in Spaulding Auditorium.
