The honor of being the Class Newsletter Editor of the Year was conferred on WiltonS. Sogg '56 (r) at the annual gathering of Dartmouth class officers in Hanover last month. In making the award J. Michael McGean '49, Secretary of the College, read the following citation:

For a decade you have provided the Class of 1956 with an exceptionally imaginative newsletter. Your issues are bulging with news of your active Class Executive Committee and the men of '56. Actually, you extract news so successfully that you often fill eight pages with plenty left over. „ , „

At Harvard Law School as a member of the Editorial Board of the Harvard Law Review, and in the years since as a practicing attorney and teacher, you have maintained an average of ten to twelve newsletters a year. This feat is unmatched by any editor in a post-World War II class.

Your issues are noteworthy for the same thoughtful care you once gave the pages of The Dartmouth where you are still remembered as one of the most articulate feature editors of all time.
