Marketing Management by Prof. Kenneth R. Davis (Tuck School of Business Administration) has been brought out in a second edition (New York: Ronald Press Company, 1966. 894 pp. $9.00). In author Davis' preface he states that "new chapters have been added on marketing channels to give greater emphasis to this problem area, especially with respect to physical distribution. Another new chapter stresses the importance of experimental design and gives greater emphasis to sampling in marketing research."
Originally published in 1953, L'Heritagefrancais by Francois Denoeu, Professor of French Emeritus, has been brought out in a new edition (New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston). The book, compiled and edited as a second-level reader for students who have acquired the rudiments of reading in the language, is "not a systematic survey of French civilization" but, rather, "an illustration of it, a picture of its highlights."
A history of the Hinman family, full of Dartmouth-associated matter, entitled Ancestors and Descendants of Havilah BurrittHinman of Stratford, New Hampshire, has recently been published by The Stinehour Press, Lunenburg, Vt. ($10). The book was compiled by Gertrude B. Wright (Mrs. William Kelley Wright of Hanover), working in close contact with the late Harold Hinman '10 and John Hinman 'O8.
