Three officers of the College are carrying on their administrative duties this fall with new titles. John G. Skewes '51 has been promoted to Associate Business Manager of the College, assisting Business Manager Richard W. Olmsted '32; Gordon V. DeWitt '6O has moved up to Skewes' former position of Assistant Business Manager; and John D. Bryant, formerly assistant to Treasurer John F. Meek '33, has been named Assistant Treasurer of the College.
Skewes, who has an M.B.A. from Tuck School, has been with the Business Manager's Office since 1960, with primary responsibility for plant maintenance, budget control, and insurance management. DeWitt, with the same office since shortly after graduation in 1960, has had duties related to new construction and the College's outing properties. Bryant, who came to Dartmouth from Bethlehem Steel's shipbuilding division in 1963, has handled special assignments in the Treasurer's Office as well as the financial aspects of student organizations and such educational programs as foreign study.
A new administrative officer this fall is Dennis A. Dinan '6l of Bedford, N. Y.. who has been named Assistant to the Secretary of the College. For the past six years he has been an assistant editor in education for the American Heritage Publishing Company in New York City. In his new position at Dartmouth he will help coordinate continuing education programs, working with Alumni College, the Alumni Seminars, and Tuck School computer conferences; and he will also direct the class newsletters program and assist with Bicentennial planning. Continuing education programs are expected to grow in the future.
