Congressman Thomas B. Curtis '32, Republican Representative from Missouri and a member of the Dartmouth Board of Trustees, was on campus for six days last month as the College's third "Politician-in-Residence."

Representative Curtis began his busy schedule of classes and discussions with undergraduates and faculty following the joint meeting of the Trustees and Alumni Council. He talked in class sessions on such diverse topics as unemployment and the labor force, the future of the Republican Party and the organization of Congress.

He was the guest of honor at a banquet held with the 1966 Public Service Interns, attended two informal coffee hours to chat with students interested in public affairs, met with the campus Young Republicans, was feted at a dinner and discussion by the Cutter Hall dormitory students with whom he lived for his stay in Hanover, and had evening discussion sessions at Phi Kappa Tau and Phoenix House.

The "Politician-in-Residence" Program is sponsored annually by the Public Affairs Center and was coordinated this year by Assistant Professor of Government Poger H. Davidson. Previous participants have been Senator Thomas J. McIntyre '37 and Representative Clark MacGregor '44.
